Katy began her path into the healing arts in California, where she studied massage therapy. She then earned her Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2009. After six years of practice in Malibu, she moved home to Charleston in 2015, where she would eventually complete her 200 hour YTT at Barefoot Yoga Studio. Katy is an avid surfer and painter and is passionate about sharing the gift of holistic healing with the Charleston community.
Rachel graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 2011. She enjoys working with each client’s individual needs to create balance and ease in the body. Her slow, focused style promotes a deep sense of relaxation while releasing areas of tension and improving range of motion. Her modalities include neuromuscular, deep tissue, myofascial release, Swedish, cupping, reiki, and pre/postnatal massage.
Lizzie graduated from Virginia School of Massage in 2005. She specializes in deep tissue work for clients with chronic pain or injuries, athletes looking to keep their bodies in top shape, women wanting to reconnect with their bodies, and anyone looking to relieve the tensions of daily life. Lizzie is also a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, is certified in Thai Yoga Massage, holds a level 1 Reiki certification, and is a Transformational Breath Facilitator. Lizzie also practices Myofascial Release Technique, trigger point therapy, and pre/postnatal massage. We are proud to have Lizzie on our team!
Emily has a gentle, caring, naturally healing presence. She has always loved helping people feel better in their bodies and their lives. She combines Swedish & deep tissue methods in a therapeutic massage experience that will leave you relaxed, with freedom in your body, and feeling deeply cared for. Many clients comment how they love feeling Emily’s “good energy” during their massage.
Emily is passionate about connecting people with their spirituality. She is a Kundalini yoga teacher and a lifelong student of yoga & meditation.
Mary Wutz is a graduate of the California School of Herbal Studies, and has a background integrating both traditional and modern healing approaches. She has trained throughout the Caribbean, Nepal, Peru, and Hawaii as an herbalist and plant spirit medicine practitioner for over 15 years, and studied Clinical Western Herbalism under David Hoffman, Ph.D. Drawing from her own healing journey, she is passionate about empowering people to connect with the power of plants for physical, emotional and spiritual healing, and to guide others in finding their own healing path and the unique healing approach that is right for them.
Valerie graduated from Southeastern Institute’s 900 hr. Licensed Professional Massage Therapy program in 2019. Her modalities include Swedish, Myofascial, Nueromuscular therapy, Sports, Lymphatic, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Hot Stones, and Reflexology. Helping other people on their healing and self-care journey is her passion. This passion was fueled by her own healing experiences with massage and physical therapy after a whiplash injury.
Valerie enjoys spending time with her family and children, biking, yoga, being in nature, reading, and painting.
